I'm watching this simply because it was shot digitally, the Genesis. I don't care so much for story lines when it comes to films like Superman, Batman, etc.

After seeing the longer trailer, I REALLY think the youthful age of both Superman and Lois is gonna be a big problem for me...
Not unlike The Sum of all Fears, which I originally thought the filmmakers were gonna transform into a prequel, having it set before the other three Jack Ryan films. I thought perhaps it would have been set in the seventies or something...But no, what we saw instead was the characters miraculously becoming much younger (yet still taking place in a modern setting.) I was so poo pooing confused by all of this nonsense that all I concentrated the whole time on figuring out the bloody continuity instead of following the plot.
To a lesser degree, that is what I am beginning to feel about the new Superman. Let's see, Lois has a kid (who, my money's riding on, we find out as a finale twist is actually Clark's/Superman's offspring after all) yet she has suddenly become much younger (which must therefore mean that now she was what? around 18 or 19 before Superman left?) Oy Vey!!! The confusion is starting already!!
Why don't they just cast age-appropriate actors in these franchise films for Christ's sake?!
Besides, it would be a nice touch to see a slightly older Superman...kinda like in that fan film "Robin"
Edit:
Don't get me wrong, it dose look good, and I'll definitely be going see it...
I just hope I don't focus in on this fountain of youth bullshïte too much.
