New Clip from M.O.G. shot on DVX100a

This is my type of movie. Ones that make you think. Of course having experimented with many types of drugs(yes I'm admitting it) I might have a better understanding of the characters antics. I enjoyed it, makes me want to see the whole movie. Good Job!

Thank you!

The car mount was a 3 arm device with little suctions on it... holds the dvx in the tight space above the dash. The camera is light, so when attached, it doesn't move so much... less gitters while filming.... the car is old with old shocks, so we thought the footage would stink....but it came out pretty smooth.

why did you make that comment about my toes
sorry no nintendo
I must say pretty good stuff. I believe maybe it could be a feature if shot with a high def cam but you could definetely sell it to comedy central or something. I would say start thinking about the business and shoot a sequel in high def. Im sure this will be great. It somehow has a cheech and chong feel to it. So you could make 5 movies with the same characters.

Just from the trailer (which is how most people judge movies.) Your getting judged because well it looks good.
Acting =B- means that i believed them most of the time
Directing =B- which means zero shaky footage, professional camera angles, and nothing distracted me from the story. Nothing ground breaking thou.

Lighting = C+ could have been lit better. even thou most hollywood film is shoot too bright or dark they have the flexibility to change the lighting drastically with film.
example training day dvd extras were really dark.

Characters = A- This is big, this is the reason you can sell it. This movies stands out because of the characters. People make movies and its just more of the same. These guys stand out. To get a A+ you need Joker and Batman.

Marketability = B- Basically can I sell it to a specific market. Hell Yeah. high school kids, college kids, and all the people who liked office space. Would have been a A+ if shot on s16.A- if high def.

Story = eewww C- what can I say I have no idea what this movie is about. But the trailer seemed like it was progressing toward something. Keep in mind Seinfield was about nothing and see how great that did.

Yo you did a great job and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
when you get to the sell it stage do this. It worked for a guy I met in Cali a year ago. Have a professional Movie trailer maker cut you a trailer. send that to the potential buyers and then they don't have to think about it. Trust this helps. Most people are sold on the movie buy seeing the trailer.
p.s. it would be nice to have a option to play/stop the music on the website. You trying to get us fired? ha

Hey Nik, thanks for your comments. Very constructive. Yeah, we still need some major color work and a pro sound mix. There's only so much I can do on my budget right now. We just got picked up by the FAIF International festival in October, so I'm hoping by then to have it colorized and cleaned. The trailer was tough to cut because (you guessed it) it's a real Seinfeld slice of life story. There's no A-B-C plot, but many random stories that all tie in at the end. The dialogue and charcs are the main push in this film. Stories about people and the situations all of us (young and old) have gone thru in our lives.

Thanks for your comments....

There were a few other scenes on the website when you get a chance...

not for me. I guess my taste is becoming very particular. Unless a movie is about something that means something important then I just have no interest in it. and the clips did not draw me in, . they may be good but didnt do it for me.

This film is for ages 18 to 28. Although at the screening of the film, a majority of the older people enjoyed it, and almost all of the female viewers cried during the dramatic scenes. It's difficult to promote a film with no "A" listers in it, but the story holds water. A fuller trailer is in the works reflecing a little more story.

We'll be at Mann's Chinese Complex in Hollywood this October.... if you are around, come check it out...
