4 minute demo footage finally together

Greetings all,

I finally got around to cutting something together today. Nothing too fancy, just a collection of stuff that I've shot over the past month or so. I still am working on my site so I put the .mov file up on putfile as it seems to be the best free hosting site out there. The file is highly compressed and also squished.. I'll do a letterboxed file later. I just know that I've valued and appreciated all of the footage and want to start contributing as well. I'll get something up that looks better but atleast this is something. The music is Ben Harper... The footage is not in any real order.. just what came to me while I was editing.

Hope ya'll like it and I'll try and get something up later next week. I've got a ton of stuff still waiting to get assembled as I'm also waiting on drive space. I haven't been as prolific in a long time.

Here's the little bugger:

4 minutes and only 12 megs...

From Justin to Justyn.. Nice Job! The EDIT was sweet.. We have gotta find a way to post these files in a larger size to view! It's so hard to so the colors and clarity in a highly compressed file..

LOVED the TIMELAPSE! Dude.. great stuff with the clouds and trees!

You gotta play with the 48-60fps for stuff like that breakdancer.. would have made it look even better! :-)

Keep it up dude..

From one with a Y to one with an I... thank's brother. I will attempt to get up a better quality footage as it does look great. The breakdance was shot in super slow-mo.. I just added a motion blur as an effect. It looks great both ways.. and the compression kills the effect.. but in full HD it looks breaktaking with the blur. I'll put one together though without the blur. I also have a ton of big ass booty shaking but I didn't put that together as the wife's eyes were here.. and I'd have some explaining to do... plus had some church footage in there.

Either way... I'll get it together and if anyone wants to host a file then I could convert it and it'd be ready. I'll take off the blur on the windmilling guy so the true glory can come together.

Also the last footage of the Jazz legend Sam Rivers is some of the cleanest stuff I've shot. WIth tons of light and a major drop off to black without a grad/grading.. and you have money.

Thanks all..

hehe.. I figured you would have used some the 60fps.. but the blur to me kinda looks like 24 slowed down.. to choppy..

I have a website, but I can get it to not TIMEOUT while uploading an 80 meg file..

Oh well!

Thanks guys. Your point is well taken Justin. I turned off the blur... Just kind of liked what it did with the light... but you do have a point.

I shot everything to P2 card. I used a variety of different interval settings depending upon the amount of time I spent doing the timelapse. I'd say they were rainging from 40 minutes up to 90 minutes of time. I really like the 1 frame every 5 seconds for it's speed, but sometimes it's nice to get more so 1 farm every second has it's perks.

The thing to consider though is that at sunset there is a large amount of options for your exposure and scene settings. Noise is also something that is an issue but I'm growing to appreciate it. I also think the camera can produce stunning crisp video.. and very dark moody grainy stuff. Both have their place. I shot a lot more timelapse of the tree and some buildings that I'm using for a music video.

I"m going to put something up on my site today. We'll see what kind of bandwidth I have...
