Red/purple areas in my footage...

I shot this footage outside earlier today. It made various red/purple areas on the tape up to a certain point. It dissappeared after a bit but I didn't even notice until in post. Is it possibly because it was too close to my computer hard drive? It doesn't look like the camera did something wrong or anything.

Anyone seen anything like this?

are your speakers right next to your monitor? it looks like that when unshielded speakers are to close to a CRT monitor.

or any magnetic object for that matter

It's actually a little bit on the upper left hand side, in various shots. The last shot the trees in the upper left have a slight pink.

I wasn't thinking about the speakers, as that wouldn't do anything to the tape. But I rested the video camera on the top of my power supply for my PC, and that has an electronic magnet in it. I was thinking that quite possibly it affected the tape while it was playing on top of it or something. I'll keep my eyes open for the red to pop up again, but the shots slightly afterwards showed no signs or red or purple.

The tape is digital information not analog. If a magnetic field were actually strong enough to affect your tape you would just get garbage. This is some other problem.

Well it dissappeared after that short area, so I'll keep my eye open when I shoot my next footage.
