dvcpro50 24p and FCP need help !

I wanna shoot dvcpro50 24p widescreen om my P2 cards.
which settings do I use for the HVX and which settings for my FCP sequence .
Do I have to put the camera in 24p or 24pa ?
Is there a existing link on the forum ?
 
Don't know about an existing link, but I'd shoot in 24pa. If you want to edit on a 24fps timeline, then you'll be able to extract the 24 frames on import to be used in a 24fps timeline/sequence. If you're going to be editing in a standard 30 frame timeline, 24pa will work there too --- you'll just leave the dulicate frames. 24pa covers you either way. (In fact, I'm not even sure why there's a regular "24p" --- perhaps someone could clue me in?)

In FCP, you'll choose the appropriate DVCPro50 "Easy Setup." Then, make sure your sequence is set to "anamorphic" (if you're shooting 16:9), and that the frame rate is the one you desire. That should do it.
 
where is this "DVCPRO50" easy setup option? I use FCP 5.0.4 and I can't find it.

Do I have to download something special?

Also, is there a way to capture in this format directly to FCP without need for P2 cards? Thanks.
 
I`m shooting in 24pa , but after importing the P2 cards in FCP they show up as
29.97 files
