Test shoot - screen grabs

This is the first proper test we've been able to muster as everyone's busy. I say test shoot in the broadest sense because our DP at the last minute couldn't make it with work commitments. So I had to light and shoot with the HVX, and as you can see I'm no DP. However it was to try out some actors, and to test a few scenes of dialogue, so any decent footage we got was a bonus.

All the studio stuff has been cc'd.

Apologies about the lack of full size screen grabs or moving footage. Bandwidth restricts us from doing so.

Just added a quicktime, but I'm not used to encoding web video so for some reason it's come out much more muted than it actually looks. Perhaps for web video have less saturated colors?

And yes, it's our friend Dave with his deliberately poor Ali G impersonation. Well, he is a school teacher

Edit ~ sorry forgot to mention we recorded 1080p.

Looking good. I havent shot much in 1080. Did you put it into AVID?
Thanks Paul yes, Avid Xpress Pro HD. I'd have shot it in 720p if that was supported, but very impressed with the 1080 :)

Hehe, and Dave's not an actor he was just there so we got him to sit there while we set up.

I like this shot, without the fill light:

Danilo, let's shoot a Matrix style movie in Scampia!!! If we do that we'll become the new Manetti Bros! LOL :D

Yeah! Genial! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) But with an Sony Fx1 as Manetti in "Piano 17"...mmm who will pay for the 35mm film blowout? :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
Mmm...Enrico Silvestrin and Elisabetta Rocchetti! LOL

No... the Pirozzi bros (pater familias)... :violent5:

no more screen grabs of flowers, well i guess nature is important to some people, keep the footage coming

Saying no flowers is almost like saying no slow motion. It's easy to get, and shows of the capabilities.

Try not capturing any footage with flowers in it when you have a HVX in your hand. It's one of the easiest and best ways of testing the color sampling.
