I want to compress movies for internet

[FatBird19]

I want to get my dvx movies online. I already have server space, I'm mainly concerned with compression quality. Any suggestions?

I really want to use H.264 compression, but I'm a PC guy and I'm afraid that isn't an option. Any other ways of getting H.264 compression online?

Give Flash 8 a try...

I have had good success with streaming .flv files through the new Flash 8 Player. I have a couple of short samples on my personal blog you can check out (http://livingintheland.blogspot.com/) One is right on top, the other about 1/2 down the blog. All the compression can be done directly with Flash 8. Let me know if you'd like details on the workflow to duplicate...

All the best,

Michael
