Awsome Mariachi Film Fest Trailer Shot in HD

Looks like 60i - do you know if this was shot in CineFrame 30? There's not enough lag as far as I can tell. Color looks like a Z1U. Mysteriously, it is not a Sony camera he pulls out of the guitar case... hmm... I'd say they shot the piece with the wrong camera!

The DVX must have been the only camera around that could shoot bullets.

Well, seeing how the piece was shot for a film festival, I certainly hope it was shot digital progressive. 60i for this application is simply wrong, wrong, wrong.

It was shot 50i. The DVX is there because we could not film the Sony coming out of the case with the Sony.
It is an online trailer for the festival only!

Hey that was not bad at all, it was good, nice rich colours. The sky did'nt blow out, but.... your shot with the guys on the truck, their faces was too dark..

Anyhow thanks for the link

I liked it man.

I agree that their faces on the truck looked dark, but I'm sure it looked a lot better on a monitor.

Good work man.

Those are damn nice blues in that sky. I think it falls a few notches short of "awesome", personally, but it's a decent piece.

Nice idea, but if you want comments, you could avoid the excessive white clipping on clouds with a gradient, the dark faces with a reflector and also avoid stopping the truck with the people just under the tree. I liked the finale except the bomb clip. I would expect something unexpected instead. Overall it was interesting.

About the second clip, the guitar scene is not 'connected' with the scene in the classroom and the reaction of the students is rather mild.

Nice job on Trailer 1

I really enjoyed the spirit of it; but I would have used the dvx100!

Yeah, he could do it by shooting on a standing mirror! :)

...or two :)

the trailers are good but they look more videoish, tons of dept of field, interlaced ... I´m sure that it looks better with a more filmic images
