Hi everyone,

We wanted to announce our science-fiction short film, titled "The Ore," has just gone online with an official website. The film is currently in post, and is slated to be finished around the end of May. You can check out a teaser trailer, stills, and a lot of other goodies at the site: http://www.theore.net

The Ore was shot in 720P HD with the HVX-200, and our experience with the camera has been fantastic. We documented our workflow with the P2 cards on location, and plan to cut together a BTS featurette on the subject for those interested.

Very cool looking film can't wait to see final cut. Did you use Rostronics lights in production? If so how did they work out for you. Thanks.
 
Very nice site! I'll be checking out the teaser soon. Can't wait to see the entire film.

Know what I noticed?

(NO OFFENSE NO OFFENSE NO OFFENSE to anyone, because I'm guilty)... the users that've been here for a while and still have a smaller post count seem to produce the best stuff. I should be doing more and talking less, yes? =(

Can't wait to see the finished product and the BTS.

That wasn't aimed at Brice either!!! He's my homey and APTH is pretty good. (You guys should check out the full version. The short version does it no justice.)

Hey look... John and I agree on something.

That's exactly what I ment. He wasn't here posting about noise (guilty again) and instead, took the HVX200 out and used it for himself... look what he's got to show us?

I'm seriously jealous... I wish I could move my shootdate to a week earlier, but then I'd have a [an even more] shoddy product.

Awesome footage, watched it four times already just to check out the cool lighting.
 
You've made a lot of people with entries in Hero Fest happy. If Ore is anything like the teaser, I think it would be difficult for someone to top it. Perhaps when I see the entries I will have to eat these words (I hope) but that's a damned fine teaser.
 
I loved it! That teaser was really well done and I'm sure you're planning on getting it distributed. It would be insanity not to. Good work again.

Thanks man, no offense taken. I am busy with some big projects too... hopefully things fall into place, and I'll have a sweet film to show for it later this summer! :)

And Kholi, I'm REALLY looking forward to your herofest flick. I think its gunna be awesome!
 
Thanks all, hope we can live up to all that. There's a heck of a lot of work to be done, which is a little daunting.

Yes we used Rostronics lights for all interiors - awesome gear! The 2K repeatedly blew out the fuses in my apartment, but that's not the light's fault.

Oh and Kholi, I don't think post count has much to do with anything. Look at Hudson or Jack Daniel's work for example!
