Crew boats on Hudson

First post...Recently got my HVX200 and many thanks to the dvxuser community for helping me answer many of the questions I had about using the camera. Still much to learn.

This is a 22mb file (1.5 minutes) of a women's crew practice on the Hudson. Shot basically at default settings 720pn24fn and overcranked to 60fps. (The coach was thrilled just as a training aid). Steadiness is still a problem so if anyone has any stabilizer suggestions under a couple of grand, that would be great. Nothing like having the boats row uphill.:)

Nice looking footage, very sharp. The splashing of the oars looks great in 60FPS. The last shot with the skyline is beautiful!

Gorgeous! What bridge is that? Marist is up in Duchess? I've never seen the river so calm...

Very nicely shot. The footage looks really good although the compression is really high.

Nice choice of music too.

Hey, wait a minute . . . where's all the noise and artifacts?

(ha ha, just kidding).

Very nicely done Bob . . . Thank you!

Hey Bob, nice stuff. I went to school in New Paltz. I loved the time i spent there, I miss the gunks dearly.

Hey NYLion...San Fran a long way from NP but it's gotta be my favorite westcoast city. Happy birthday.
