Here comes the Feds

Still think there should be no investigation's ? Or are athletes immune to Grand Jury Testimonies ?

I thought we were all in agreement that he should be excommunicated from baseball; blackballed from the HOF; 86ed from the record books; you know- how the French say, "Le Thrown-out-on-his-ass"

Who? Never heard of this guy. Slips my memory. Must've never existed.

Oh well!

Everyone here knows how against the whole drug thing I am and how bad I think it is for baseball in general. My opinions on this subject are no secret.

Here is the problem I am having, though.

Grand Jury testimony is supposed to be secret. It is not every meant to be leaked. There is something seriously screwed up that The Chronicle first got this news and now that there is another leak.

I wish this would all just go away, but honestly this US Attorney should be investigating all these ****ing leaks because that is completely bullshit and it is really pissing me off. It is illegal to leak this information, so where the **** is it ocming from.

This pisses me off more than the Barry situation.

He's a cheater. He's got plenty of company and until baseball cleans their act up, a cloud of suspicion hangs over everyone. Lying to the grand jury is always a bad thing, just ask Martha Stewart.

Regardless of what he did there is a much bigger issue at stake here and that is what is pissing me off more than anything. Looks like it's time for Jeremy to write another angry email to ESPN. I love doing this.

I dunno about that -- I mean, the prison time gave her the peace and quiet needed to start designing her TOWN.

I just know these threads are going to end up being banned under the "politics" black flag :cheesy:

I agree with Yankee on this one. Grand Jusry testamony is NOT supposed to be spread out there like Brittiny's latest fling. The man may be a scumbag, but you don't engage in this kind of crap.

That kind thing makes us all less "safe".

But ban his ass if you can find ANOTHER route.

LoL I like it Callaghan

Just goes to show, tell a little white lie and you end up commiting purjury. He shoulda left well enough alone and retired a few years back. (its not like his kids will starve)

It's not politics, it's law. The simple fact is that grand jury testimony is supposed to be sealed, not public, and confidential. The leaks are the real problem and punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or $250,000 fine. I don't see anyone investigating that though.

I think Barry is scum. He has always shunned the media, been standoffish with fans, and been an all around arrogant prick. That being said, as an American citizen he does have certain rights and those rights are being violated. Someone needs to look into that because although I think that he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, he is innocent until PROVEN guilty in a court of law, not the court of public opinion.
