They've barely gotten the HVX out -- they can't even meet demand for the current model. I doubt seriously that there's an "A" version waiting in the wings, or that one will be available for another 12-18 months. Buy, now! You'll be happy you did. It's a freakin' great camera.
P.S.: In electronics, there's always something better around the corner, but that will be true whenever you buy.
