Panasonic Please Help!

I ordered a HVX200 package from B&H way back in December. B&H sent me the camera, but said they did not get my 2 8 GB cards in yet. I still don't have the cards and it's April. What's going on? This is crazy.

I've called B&H several times and they apologize, but say that Panasonic will not tell them when my 2 8GB cards will be available. Is anyone else experiencing this very long delay or am I the only one? Panasonic please help!

I would have never ordered the camera if I knew that the 8GB cards would not get to me within a reasonable amount of time. This is very frustrating.

Hello Film Addict,

8GB cards are on heavy back order. We are experiencing the same problem.

We do have some 4GB cards left and are offering them for a great deal to DVXuser's. $599 + FREE ground shipping (48 states only.)

Best regards,

I'd start calling small dealers. I have gotten three 8GB cards so far...

Thanks for the info guys. I guess Panasonic is having issues creating the 8GB cards or they just can't produce enough of them. It would be nice to hear from them directly on this issue. This amount of wait time is unfair.

I don't want 4 GB cards. I want two 8GB cards. That should get me through a days shoot in 720 24pn mode. 4 4GB cards seems like a bit of a hassle and I don't like the idea of pulling those cards in and out all of the time (I'm worried about damaging the connectors).
