I'm torn. I know 16x9 is the professional way to go but alas my budget is thin and cant afford the adapter. I know that 4x3 will give me more options in post but it still wont be the same (look wise) as the look the adapter will give. AND using squeeze mode will lessen the resolution.

SO, can someone PLEASE tell me what the heck I should shoot for the aspect ratio? If I shoot 4x3, and the movie is succesful arw there post methods that can make the change to 16x9 reasonable. I know I'm low budget and 4x3 is the safe way to go but I have to say "you never know" and assume this thing will find success.

Any help will be appreciated

Claxius:

Its not necessary to use comments like sh*t to get assistance here.

That said there are many posts regarding this subject. Also Barry Green's book covers this in detail.

But this should be helpful:

If your looking for a budget method.... check Disjecta's sticky thread or/ get a copy of InstantHD from http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/instanthd.html

We have no comparison as yet to which is better, though InstantHD is cheaper and faster.

InstantHD is designed to change sd to hd however its simple to upres cropped(letterbox footage) to 16:9 also.
