And noisier too? Far away from the other SONY cams? Closer to Canon's XL-H1?Simon Wyndham said:The camera is a lot less sensitive than other cameras of the same type.
And@-3db? Closer to Canon XL-H1 or in the Sony tradition anyway?Simon Wyndham said:Yes, the camera is a bit noisier. I would be hesitant to use it with gain. The noise doesn't seem apparent during normal shooting. But as soon as the gain is turned on it becomes quite apparent.
That is 54db to HDW-750? Or the SN rating of this HDCAM is 64db?The SN rating of the XDCAM HD cameras is 54db. This compares with 64db (NTSC) of the PDW-5xx series. However this is exactly the same rating as the HDW-750 camera.
If so soon as possible maybe you'll be the first XDCAM-HD serious feature footage poster. We'll be waiting to watch it as soon as you get.The music video I made with the F330 came out nicely. I'll be posting it up online soon.
:dankk2: for your input, Texas shootout shooter! But regarding the first link here that I posted, I thought precisely the opposite...nateweaver said:Got to take the F350 to the hotel with me last night and "get familiar" with it
Great cam. I'd rent it for my higher end jobs, and it's 100% a pro cam in every way (and I didn't expect anything but). Unfortunately the performance is closer to the XLH-1 in some areas (including res). Sony definitely did not give the signal processing on it 100% from what I overheard Adam talking about and I myself observed.
Too bad. Looks like the 2/3" XDCAM HD is gonna be the one that gets it completely right.
Actually the Sony PDW-F3xx series it is the last launch.brianluce said:i saw that link. it's a bit coy
Maybe... I'm lost...tim_brown said:Emanuel,
Prehaps Mr. Boston was alluding to the fact that the suprise was that the H1 outperformed the 350 even with the higher bitrate.
