Truck Commercial

Yes, this is a Truck Commercial. They air it here all the time. Some one cut out the part where the Truck is driving and gets hit by the rock.

That's great work.

I love CG and the people that can do work like that just criple me.

I love them.

It's for Toyota, BTW. If a meteor came towards a Dodge truck, the meteor would have turned around and started crying even before striking the earth.

...As opposed to a Chevy, which would have been fine as the meteor would have burned itself out laughing before it hit. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I know people know that's just a commercial, but seriously, the energy released in a real meteor impact would have vaporized that entire area.

Let's say it was 165 ft in diameter. That would release approximately 4.6 × 1016 J = 11 megatons of TNT. that would create a crater almost a half mile across.

in other words, all you get for breakfast is toast, cause that's all you are.

it's not likely it will happen in our lifetime, or several thousand of them, but that's how the world will end, trust me.

just take a meteor -- just 3 little tiny miles wide -- and toss it at earth. that will turn earth into instant Venus. in other words -- no people.

and if a meteor small enough to not vaporize the area did hit it wouldnt be a flaming ball of explosion, it would have slowed down significantly and just hit he ground with a thud.

theres a weird point where if they are small enough, they just vaporaize, in the atmosphere, or if they are bigger the slow down and dontreally hi the ground hard enough to cause trouble. they have to be REALLY big to make an explosion.

It looked smaller than 165ft to me.... but it is only a commercial, so I'm not too bothered :)
