Max latitude on the HVX vs DVX?

[MiniMan]

Hi folks,

I've been noticing this really great latitude on everyone's HVX footage. Now does the HVX actually have better latitude than the DVX? I doubt it, yes, since the HVX has to have smaller pixels and stuff, but the latitude in the HVX footage I've seen just seems better than the what I've seen on all the DVX stuff, including my own DVX.

So, how many stops do they have?

[Barry_Green]

Panasonic claims 8 stops on the HVX.

I had a DVX100, then a DVX100A, then a DVX100B, and now i have a HVX200.

The HVX200 has a better lattitude than all of the DVX i had.

And the DVX has 7,5 in the most-latitude gamma setting?

Yes, 7.5
