sounds underwhelming

That's what "they" said about Kill Bill.... And Jackie Brown....

But, the fact is.... QT never disappoints. Not me anyway. And I can't see it happening anytime soon.

He is the only director, when a film comes out, I'll take a day off from work on opening day to see it.

I am not a Horror fan by any means, but I love QT and RR movies, so I will see it on their merrits...and they never disappoint...But I really want QT to make his Inglorious Bastards, I hear it is up to a trilogy now.

I'm not seeing any growth in QT right now. I can't wait for him to get this stuff out of his system and get back to some edgy filmmaking.

Robert Rodriguez is a different case. I like him and what he's done for the independent filmmaker but his ceiling is somewhat lower than QT.

I'm a big fan of Tarantino, but man it feels like it takes forever for the guy to make a film.

Meanwhile Rodriguez is making like 2 or 3 a year. I think the best lesson to learn from him though is that if you want to make enough money to be your own boss in hollywood, then kids films are the way to go.

I just cant make myself sit down and write a family film, though. I need to hire someone to write one for me :)

I liked kill bill, but I didn't follow the hype.

But I like the premise.

I don't know, a guy killing people with a car doesn't sound so appealing.

Thanks for adding to the thread. Your insightful commentary is noted. Now go actually watch his body of work and then come back and give us an informed opinion.

I too wish QT would make more films. I don't need 1 a year but since 1992's Reservoir Dog's he has done only 4 films. 4 films in 14 years ? (I am not counting E.R. episode, Four Room's, Sin City Guest Starring or CSI)

Since 1992's El Mariachi RR has done 8 films (Again not counting anything but Sole Directorial's)

In contrast, Spielberg has made 11 films since 1992. Interesting.

Grind House is going to rule.

I cannot even wait for INGLORIUS BASTARDS. Damn it.

Ummm isn't Mickey Rourke playing the lead in QT's half of grindhouse?

If so that's like money in the First National Bank of BadAss right there.
