The Red Bicycle - short film

I only use squeeze mode except for when I did a instuctional video and I didn't really notice any resolution difference. In the Red Bicycle though I cropped it in post just so I could get an even more wide look. I have been thinking of doing some letterbox stuff soon just to see how it looks. I had the detail level on zero because I am hoping this will be blown up on screen at a festival. Other shoots I have used a -2 detail level.

Thanks Jazz Dog. I'm assuming 0 is the default detail level and you normally lower it to -2 then unless blowing up for screen.

That's a really kewl story, am I'm sure hit a few hearts, it hit mine. Things are taken for the memory, then forgotten about. It's always nice to hear of a 'happy ending' :)

I noticed a few minus points, but was so engrossed with the film/story, it didn't bother me too much (I think that's a minus point on me, though) :(

Thank you for sharing.

Yea I see what you are saying about making it a stylistic choice, but I think because you really only see the dirt when you hit the sun, it seems like you just have a dirty lens.

Thank you for your comments JazzDog. I look foward to you exploring your artistic visions through your camera work, words and music. Speaking of camera work, I enjoyed the shots of the dude riding the bicycle. How did you do that? Thanks again for sharing and good luck!

The skateboarder dude on the bench still intrigues' me! A plot twist ...

I only had myself (riding the bike) and a friend driving so I just set the camera on a tripod in the back of my SUV facing out with the hatch open then turned the viewfinder around so I could ride up and frame the shot myself while the car was driving. Same for the side shot shooting out the side window. It seemed to work pretty well once we found some smooth road without any traffic.
