Reel Stream's Andromeda with HVX200?

"just" (not the best word when you think to the work Juan did and the great result) for the DVX.

For the moment...

They said the windows version of their software was coming. :), but yes the hvx andromeda would be amazing. 4:4:4 goodness.

I wonder what that resolution and frame size could compare to? would it be greater than 35mm?

Ok in film school we just covered, but only verry lightly, the 4.2.2 4.4.4 as i know, 4.4.4 is uncompressed streight from ccds correct?

And didnt mean to offend with the "just" wasnt a derogitory remark, just a word i used cos i was typing fast and didnt wanna go through the threasaurus.

As for the quality of the image it would produce. it would be hard to edit I think. And would this software, A kill ur warranty, and B, kill your system, streaming images of 10 or more magapixels per second would surely bust my PC

how does the software deal with this?:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

From what I know of the Andromeda, and what we now know of the HVX, I would expect uncompressed 1920x1080 at 60P (which would be UNPRECEDENTED), and also 1920x1080 at variable frame rates!

So no, not greater than 35mm film, but overcranking uncompressed 1920x1080 would be amazing.

4:2:2 means the color-information is cut by half. Only every second pixel of the red and blue channel is recorded.

4:4:4 means every pixel is recorded. But this doesn't mean it's uncompressed! Uncompressed or raw means the information gathered by the sensor is streamed directly to the storage without any alteration/compressiong by the codec.

BTW, the HVX records DVCProHD, which is about 133 mbit/s.
I know they have to stick to the DVCPro standard, but technically, when it can handle 720p60, it should can handle 720i120 for super-slomo, right? Or 720p24 at 12 bits colordepth or even more for better cc?
