New Music Video "You and I"

BergVision, I bow down to you, I only wish I had done the video, your comments are brilliant. It is a rare thing for someone to be so critical and yet so praising.

See my sig. :)

I really enjoyed the song and the video as you will see from previous post. But your honesty (and I hope cheezweezl takes it in the way I would've taken it) is 101% brilliant.

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet...

I noticed in the long shot of the couple walking down the sidewalk, your tripod wasn't balanced.
If that was a dutch tilt on purpose, it wasn't tilted enough to keep from looking like a mistake.

hey bill p. a fellow long beach guy. i'm sure my video has some familiar scenery for you. now that i watch back. it does look a bit tilted. i leveled with my bubble for that shot. i wonder why it looks that way.... weird. maybe beacuse the cam was off to the side of the sidewalk but aimed at the center???

thanks everybody for the comments/critiques. i have only been doing this since november so i'm very much still in the learning process. 90% of what i do know, i learned here on this forum so i appreciate all comments good or bad. i didn't post this hoping to have my ass kissed so thanks for the honesty. many of the mistakes became obvious to me when editing such as tripod in the shot, reflections, etc. but there are some things i didn't get that can be fixed now that you guys have pointed them out. luckily the client is very happy with the outcome so i won't have to reshoot anything. although i will do another pass on the cc, etc. and tighten it up a bit. thanks for all the great ideas in that dept.

BTW, the "greenscreen" stuff was actually not a greenscreen at all. he was actually performing on that bridge and then i laid him on top of the same bridge footage but without him in it. it was rotoscoped one frame at a time in photoshop. i will probably clean that up a bit as well.

Hey Cheez,

Yes, I definitely see some familiar locations.

I guess I'm just really sensitive about unbalanced shots.
My co-worker does it all the time and it drives me crazy!

A good rule of thumb is to use objects like a pole, or the edge of a wall for reference.
Sometimes the bubble can't be trusted for reference.

It seems like most of the critiques on your video, have to do with things going on behind your subject(s).

Pay more attention to what's going on in the background.
It should really help your final product.

I checked out the other video on your site "Uncrowned", that was really well done.
