Home Movie from Tahoe

I could almost smell the fresh air! Beautiful, just beautiful... I have to admit for not having a tripod you sure were able to keep it pretty steady. I was plagued with the jitter hands so all my shots must be on a tripod. Looks good, thanks for sharing......

Thanks -- I actually sent one of the shots... the pullback from the mountain near the end into SHAKE. Didn't get around to doing the others yet. Probably will.

Hey Capt.
What do you use to export your movies for web use? They look good and stream fast and everything I am trying looks artifacty or is stretching my squeeze mode back up into 4:3.
Thanks my man.

I just use the QT Conversion out of FCP... basic broadband High setting. This makes it h.264 and then I go into the OPTIONS and change the size to 480x270 to force the anamorphic correctly.

If you use FCP I'll give you a better description.

I use FCP.....I have never changed the size and will try that.
My film is 7 minutes long and I want to get it to a manageble file size to post it and share it online.
Any tips always appreciated and I have been sharing your tutorials with all my FCP buddies...great.

Captain you sure have been busy, quite a family you have there. I was in Nagano here in Japan last week and the landscape was almost identical, suprised me a little. Also with your youngest running around with a snotty nose, I too have this problem right now.

great video, great family. Thats one thing I don't usually post is family videos. I should post more. I shoot a ton of video of my son and cut together a lot of them as well. Anyways looks nice.

Very nice footage... A good reminder for me to take more time to film our family gatherings. Thanks Cap.
