HD-100 footage available

I captured directly into Liquid and then started working on it (producing the WMV and MOV). For the raw m2t I shared in #4 above, I captured it using CapDVHS so that you guys have something directly from the tape (not demuxed which is what happens when I capture with Liquid). What you get from the m2t is exactly what was on the tape (and not demuxed).

I see you are working on the m2t. What do you have going on there?

Stephen,

Your "runoff" footage is really beautiful. Loved the close up of the goose especially. I'm very jealous, still shooting nature in SD :(

Thanks for sharing,

D.

You know what? I was bored, and I just decided to download footage to watch on my TV to see how the quality was?

Holy... freaking... shiss....

The filmout footage is quite possibly the best footage is just... whoa. It's CRAZY good quality.

Where's footage from the JVC and a 35 adapter?

I saw the DVinfo.net HD100 footage.

What baffles me is that the HD100 is supposed to be 4:2:0 .... and the HVX200 is 4:2:2...

When comparing footage from both cameras, the HD100 looks more like film to me than the HVX200. I know that it's totally subjective, and I know that the adapters probably make a huge difference... but that's just what I saw.

I wish I could see some footage from the mini35 on the HVX200.

The JVC image is really good.

Indeed. I probably would've bought one if it did 60p to tape. Gotta have that live temporal look sometimes. Maybe a future SDI device with analog conversion will solve this little issue.

Definitely. I wouldn't mind having 60 frames to slice in half for a cleaner looking slow-mo.

At the same time, I've seen good results from the HD100 using mini-35, simply compressed to m2t files. It's awesome, truely. Probably some of the most "cinematic" footage I've seen from sub 10k cameras with the adapter attached.

The DVX100 does really well with the 35mm, does the HVX do just as well with an adapter attached?

I just wish there was more footage with mini35 (not m2 or G35, because I'll be using the mini35 and that's what I want to see) for review.

Sorry guys and gals, the clips are down (possibly for the count). If you have any request then let me know and maybe I can accomodate.

It was a fun ride.
