Where can I find my serial number

I have Premiere Standard edition which I want to upgrade to Premiere Pro 2.

The problem is that the Standard Edition was pre-installed on my vaio and I cannot find the serial No.

I had a quick look around the registry but could not see anything. I was expecting to find it under Help | About Premiere Standard, but it is really just a list of credits.

any ideas?

That stinks. I'm not aware of any way to display this in the software. Hopefully someone can prove me wrong. As far as I know, it's only found physically printed on a label. Did you recieve some sort of recovery disk to re-install it if needed? Also, are there any stickers on the case like you have for Windows?

Look at the mid right of the splash screen (Which I belive is also the "about" screen.) It should list who it's registered to and the Serial there.

Also, check the manual - it may be inside the front cover. You also should have got an Premiere install CD with the computer.

mikko is correct. You can view it in the About page, or if you cannot locate this, you can always Print Screen while the software is loading and open it with photoshop

Guys,

Thanks for your quick responses.

Maybe I had discs and misplaced them. I know that the software is recoverable from a partition on the drive but that would not solve the serial no. problem.

The splash screen will not say who it is registered to, as it was pre installed and there was no requirement to enter the details.

There is a number on the bottom right of the screen, a long number with no dashes or alphabetical characters I will have a go with trebax's screen capure on load suggestion.

Thanks

OK I have the number now, but before I upgrade I guess I should check with you guys if Premier Pro 2 is new or whether it may be due for a new version, maybe at NAB?

Prem Pro 2 is Brand new (about a month old now). It is *highly* unlikly that Adobe will have much new at NAB.
