Man and what a treat !! I bought my dvx100b about 1 month back and have been taking some random footage and heve been seeing it on the camera's LCD. I just have a regular TV at home so i was not very keen on watching my footage. I went to my cousin's place today and he has a Sony 50' Plasma HDTV. I hooked up my Cam to the TV and was blown away by the quality!
The footage looked so crisp and "film Like", couldnt believe it !

Now I have decided that i will watch all my footage only on this TV.

in terms of resolution, i know that HD is about 1080i. Is that the highest res you can get? is the Sony HD TV of the same res? what is the res of the dvx100b? Just curious.

Cheers,

WOW...a 50 foot HD tv! That's incredible! I didn't know they made TV's that big! How did your footage hold up so well? Does the TV have some sort of "robot" chip that uprez's your footage!?

Man, thanks for turning me on to 50 foot TV's, I just found a deal on Ebay, only $67,482!!!

the dvx's resolution is SD, so its 480 lines, 1080i/p is the most right now aside from 4k but thats not available on a TV yet.

LMAO@ 50 foot tvs..you had me going to.

Wow, I wanna try this. I'm gonna go to a friends house sometime when my DVX arrives, and see if it holds up as good as yours did.

My plasma basically operates based on the signal being recieved, sometimes on HD cable I see 1080i or 720p. The TV must get this info from the programming somehow? I have no idea. Anyway my point being that whilst my DVX footage looks pretty good on it, it still doesnt play it at the highest res, it only plays what its being fed.

This is in Japan btw
