New York City DVX user meeting

Don't worry JJ I've seen some of these guys shoes and it's nothing to worry about. Also the first step to being good is pretending that you are. If you don't believe no one else will :thumbsup: Also is it just me or does anybody else find when shooting footage in a live enviroment ( meaning non film shoot ) that peopl are always asking " So we got some good footage "

Welcome JJ! We'd love to have you come to the meeting. We're just tying up some loose ends for the next meeting and will be posting it in the next few days (maybe sooner).

er .. nope .. see how my post was right after yours -- that means I'm responding to your statement so there's no need to use quotes ... the "either" at the end is also indicative of this as, in this case, it means "also" or "in addition to".

So let me put the sentences together in a dialogue and see if it's less confusing for you...

This is commonly know as a "comeback" i.e., taking the verbal jab thrown at one and sending another jab back at the initial assailant equal to or topping the initial assault. Points are actually given for adapting or using the initial jab in some form as this requires more creativity and wit than just pulling any insult out of one's ass such as "young people suck" or "oh yeah, well you suck your thumb".

EDIT: I should also add that while DEPENDS implies OLD person POTTY BREAK implies BABY :)

I don't need a fake ID anymore i'm all legal. I can buy a gun and drink alcohol..... wait that's not a good combo, but I would take you up on that if I drank. I'm thinking about coming back up there for the next meeting or for one of Walter Graff's lighting workshops
 
The location one looks interesting. $100 I believe. I went to the basic interview lighting one, and it was pretty much the way it was billed...basic. Not Walter's fault, the room was just a bit green.

I would drive up there on the 8th but I gotta drive to Virginia on the 9th to go to this studio they have there to learn some more stuff.
