I recently had both my shorts play in 2 film festivals in 1 weekend... The "Ucreate Film Festival," in Hagerstown, MD, and the "Washington D.C. Independent Film Festival" in D.C.
Pics from my shorts:
"Koans, Parables, & Anecdotes"

"The Passion of the Christians"

Anyhow, I was curious to see how the images held up on a 'big screen.' The Ucreate had around a 10-15 foot square screen, and the images held up very good... No real noticable loss of clarity.
However, the WDCIFF had trouble playing my DVD's, so they had to use the VHS backup I sent...arghh! Needless to say, it was a little fuzzy, however the saturation seemed to hold up nicely. (they were on one of the 'smaller' movie screens in a real movie theater, probably 35 feet or more across...)
Interestingly, most of the shorts and projects at the WDCIFF were done on either the DVX or Super16.
My 2 shorts POTC and KPA cost $25 and $9 respectively. Many of the shorts there cost over $15,000!!! Most of them looked 'prettier' than mine, but NONE had deeper, more profound, or more insightful themes.
