HVX 720/24p Green Screen - Cougar

He's got some weird green spike on his neck... But hey, I wouldn't want to put a flag anywhere near that cat. Cool nonetheless!

Did you turn of sharpening/hyping on the HVX? There's some ringing in the red channel...

Shot in 720/24p with Cine-like Gamma to match footage I shot on a DVX... all the other settings were default (zero). So nope, I didn't boost the sharpness.

Yeah, I'm a little concerned about the green on his neck, too. We'll see what Ultimatte Advantage can do... I may not use this take.

This still might be a little better...

...but I am having issues properly extracting frames from MXF files on a PC. The PC-HVXw/P2 cards connection is a glorified hack at this point. If you're considering shooting with an HVX, plan on using a Mac and FCP to properly deal with the P2 cards and MXF file data.

I just had a go at keying this in SHake using Keylight and and doesn't look to crash hot. I've keyed SD to look better than this.
How does every one find the supposed 4:2:2?

There was a thread where there was a lot of discussion as to whether people are really getting 4:2:2 from the HVX because of the 540 vertical res of the chips; specifically when upped to 1080.

I've lost it but I think it was on here, and not DVInfo. Not sure if there was any outcome from it.
