Best Scene File Mixology!

What are the custom scene files HVX users are entering into their saved scene files? Would it be possible to start a thread/journal that details the best setting for different locations/lighting setups. What people are using for studio, on location, natural light, sunset, etc...

This is something I'd really like to hear too. It'd be nice to see have a few jumping off points where I could apply certain settings to try. I'd add that context is important... let us know what you're shooting and how you're shooting it.

I'd like to go one step further . . .

Have DVXUser host a small download section containing users' settings (text files) for transfer to SD Cards for importing into our HVX cameras. Granted, I'm not sure if this can actually be done - if the computer will recognize an HVX formatted SD card or not?

Maybe not a download but a section with only on thred that has the scene settings. That would be very help full. With a big sticky at the top with Barry and Jarred perfered settings

I'd like to get in on this too.

I did my own minimum noise test in my office the first night I got it. I'll put out the camera for the scene file.. but I was able to make it a lot better though really crushing the blacks to like -5 or something like that. Seemed to illiminate half of the noise completely.. the blacks... Still had some in the mushy inbetween dark areas. The detail and other settings helped some, but I remember that the black setting made the most signifigant difference.

Justyn, What setting did you use to crush the blacks? Are you lowering the detail Coring to -5?

I thought you raise the coring to reduce noise. At least that is what the manual says. I shot some people sitting at a computer today.
The black LCD screen their were using really shows the noise. I shot
one person at ped -3. Looked at PB and went to -4 for the next shots. That did help. I probably could have went down to -5 or -6
without losing much.
