IDX Battery Kit arrives after 12 days. Not bad.

Hi Hd-100 owners and aficianados,

Well, Job Well Done to JVC. I think they have straightened out the IDX battery promo.

I mailed off my IDX certificate on Feb 24 via US Postal service standard mail.
I received my IDX battery kit today on March 8.

Not bad, it only took 12 days.

If this IDX battery performs well we'll see what happens. Since the IDX adapter requires attaching to 2 built in screws on the HD-100 camera, I will retire the small JVC batteries to the emergency supplies closet.

Did some one say that other brand batteries will fit the IDX mount?
What batteries are those?

congrats, did you get a coupon on, line did it come with the camera, or did you receive it in the mail?

We received a coupon in the JVC box from BH Video.

This got damaged, so we instead used the certificate that we downloaded
from the internet.

It worked fine.

It's interesting that the IDX box was enclosed in a JVC box when delivered via
UPS Ground and was shipped on 2/06/06, two days ago.

Good, so the printed certificate worked fine. So that means I should be getting mine pretty soon then, since I mailed mine out on Feb 23rd.

Small correction, we (I work with Ed) used the yellow certificate that came in the box with the camera, we did not send in the printed certificate.

JVC is shipping out the IDX kits directly which is why it arrived in a JVC box.

It's cool that the IDX battery charger has a "ProHD" logo on it. JVC is really getting into the branding thing now, about damn time they started doing some marketing, Sony can't have all the fun :)

That would be one week from them receiving my cert. That'd be really nice, but I don't expect mine until next week some time. But it would be a nice surprise.
 
Does anyone get their cert from the company they bought from at the time of purchase or are they getting sent to you after the purchase. I hear some purchases from B&H have them in the box, is this the case with all or are some of you getting them sent to you later.
 
Wait till you all see what JVC has in store in a few weeks!!!

I had to edit this to eliminate the possible confusion. This is in response to the "it's about time JVC got it together" statement which is true. They have some wonderful things planned and, from the top down, have turned the battleship around so to speak to be really customer-centric. Maybe I should have just hit the "Quote" button!!!

Kudos to JVC. I just got mine today by UPS. Took 2 weeks from mailing in my cert.
 
Remember how I was hoping for Friday Carcaridon? Well Friday is the special day for me. Ups just dropped it off right now. I am very pleased!

Man. That's so cool Matthew. Congrats. I'm still sitting here waiting for mine. I must have upset the JVC gods or something. I don't know what's going on with mine.
 
Well my predictions are all run out by now but I really hope to find a similar message, to my earlier post, from you in the very near future.
