Weird pet peeves?

Lady Jane said:
2. People that are rude for no reason at all- like when I was waitressing and clearly taking a tables order, I returned to a table and asked a guy "How is the beer?" (Making a bit of small talk before I took his order) and he literally says "Cut the small talk and take my order." Yeah, I'm sensitive and that poo poo is just unnecessary.

I had a job about 14 years ago at Best Buy. Some guy opens his wallet for a credit card and that back and forth folded plastic thing drops to the floor full of credit cards... the guy takes about a full minute choosing one... I say, "Wow how many credit cards do you have?" The guy freezes and slowly lears up at me as if I just insulted his mother... "THAT'S NONE OF YOUR GODDAMN BUSINESS!" I never forgot that moment (amoung hundreds of other such moments... because I was handling a line of people that was never ending) Boy I wish I could get some moments back as the person I am now.

Which brings me to elaborate on Lady Jane's pet peeve number 2. Anybody working in any service position is not your *****! Because you sat down in a restaurant and ordered a $5 burger you don't OWN that waitress OR the establishment! Buying an eightynine cent icecream cone does not give you the right to watch your kid destroy the landscaping at the icecream shop! For anybody considering starting a business... the eating public is the absolute worst.

Okay conversely the opposite pet peeve... customer service reps who treat every customer as a challenge to uphold the minutia of the company rules. Don't flex every last ounce of your power to prevent me from making an easy return for a brand-new, un-opened item. Waitresses... don't push me into alcoholic drinks, appetizers, salads, up-sell me on my dinner choice, and then push dessert... and don't roll your F-ing eyes when I order a Diet Coke instead of a Jack 'n Coke!

Unrelated... but for God's SAKE please get the hell out of the passing lane! OR... if you're going 90... get IN the passing lane! Both of you drivers suck.

One of my worst peeves is the person who is totally ANAL whilst tweaking their cappucino at the 7-11. Press the button, add 6 sugars, stirring and tasting after each packet. Then the creamer - 4 packets of creamer, again tasting after each . All while standing directly in front of the cup dispenser. GIMMIE A BREAK!!!! All I want is a black coffee......

I have a pet peeve with people flaunting that they work in video/film. Like, oh yeah, I'm an editor, oh yeah, I'm a producer, I worked on such and such a movie, with such and such. Like, it's cool if they're genuinely excited to tell you if they're your friend or something, but when they're just saying it in a social setting to make themselves look good, it bothers me.

Don't you do that?

People who immediately do whatever it is I just told them annoys me.

Fat people at the grocery store that will not get out of my way. I could go to an otherwise empty store and Oprah would be standing right in front of the only thing I was there to get.

People buying lottery tickets at the local convenience store. I'm trying to get a gallon of milk and Billy Bob is spending his whole freakin check on lottery tickets while blowing smoke all over the store. Tip: use your money to buy some pants that still have the crotch and maybe you could get a better job.

Drivers who pull onto an otherwise empty highway and cross 2 lanes to get in front of me and then go really slow.

Drivers who cut you off and then look at you like you are an idiot.

Teenagers.

Getting interrupted.

I second that!

Here are some of my biggest pet peeves/idiosynchracies.

I can't stand girls with ugly hands or ugly feet. Man hands and hobbit feet aren't my thing.

I never grab the top lid at a resturaunt for my to-go cup. I always grab the one halfway down through the stack.

Not being sexist, but women on cell phones (especially while driving) have to be one of the forgotten plagues. How much more annoying can one get?

There's more I'm sure...but that would just be nitpicking!

Those are good ones

I agre with them!

I also cant stand 'short chicks'. I mean short

These girls who have like no legs ?

Anyone on a cell phone is annoying. I don't use a cell but if you want to ? Get it off your skull while driving. Go hands free will ya ' ?

I hate slothen types. Go work out. Quit being a slob.

I agree with all of those. Even with the free entertainment papers I can't grab the top one, always half way down...

My biggest pet peeve is this though, and I know I'm not alone in that one.

That link has showed up in this thread as well as the Embarrassing Pop Culture thread, and their is a sticky that rings strangley familiar to that link...

Hmmm....coincedence? I think not!

People who act like I'm the crazy one for wanting to bring my own silverware with me to the restaurant (I haven't done it yet, but often threaten to. Especially after I look around the restaurant and see all the potential mouths that silverware has been in :zombie_smiley:)

Standing 2 feet from the front of the stage at a U2 concert with a short Mexican dude jumping on my back pumping his fist in the air and screaming the lyrics in my ear.
