clip playback in camera

Ok, so what's the deal, if I shoot clips at different frame rates or 1080 vs. 720, I cant get some of the clips to play back!

Is this camera too stupid to just play back all of the clips?

Is the camera wanting to be in say 720/ 24 mode to play back clips recorded as 720/24?

So if i want to see a 1080/24 clip do I have to go in and change the settings to 1080/24 just to see this clip?

If this is the case, it seems really silly and I hope Panasonic can fix this in a new firmware, because this will be a huge time waste if you need to shoot in different formats and review what you have.

Yeah, that's a good point.

But . . . how many times you gonna change your frame rates within the (empty to full) cycle of a P2 card?

It also would be nice to move clips from one card to another.

I don't have a HVX here, but on a SPX-800 with 5 P2 slots, it is possible to copy clips from 1 card to another. There is a Copy function in the Operation menu in thumbnailview.

Edit: I did a search in the HVX manual pdf, and indeed, there is no copy function in the menus. It is however possible in the SPX800. Why Panasonic hasn't included this function into the HVX, I don't know.

It just seems really ridiculous that the camera cant just do what it needs to do to play back the clips.
