i'm new here, so i cant tell sarcasm yet, but i hope you are using it, because there are many types of death lenses.

mk2 babydeath (37mm mount)
mk1 thread (58mm mount)
mk1 bayo (bayo for vx1000, bayo for gl1)
mk1 intermediate (bayo for vx2000/2100)
mk2 thread (58mm mount)
mk2 bayo (comes in vx series, gl series)
and then of course the one in the link you posted for the dvx series.

specification would be nice

its the death for the dvx he's trying to sell. mike, thats a really good deal, but i already have one. good luck selling it.

My first explanation for what a death lens was had to do with skateboarding filming. The lens usually has no protection on the side to aviod vingetting (sp?) so it was "deathlike" because you have to hold it a few feet away from a rotating piece of wood and metal, boards fly into these lenses and break them all the time, thus giving it the name.

However there may be a better reason why they call it that, real explanation anyone?
