Is Final Cut Pro going to be available on PC?

Just becuz they are now making intel mac's dose not mean that they are the same as your pc. The chips are different the Mother boards are different. Mac is always going to make its own hardware. And its software will only run on that hardware. Steve Jobs says it best. If you don't have control over the hardware your software runs on how can you deliver a quality product.

That statement contradicts itself. The fact that FCP had that power makes it a better editing system. hell, if all you're doing is cuts, iMovie works.

Sounds like you need to spend some more time with Livetype? Better yet, Motion. Of course you've totally overlooked the fact that the Boris titlers are vector based and can be scaled without degradation. I honestly don't understand people's obsession with AE... it's latin for RGB degradation and slower than molasses.

What FCP gives you is that and so much more... sounds like you don't really push FCP like some of the rest of us do. For a lot of us editing isn't just cutting anymore.

Iwas talking about the first FCP. It had animation capabilities in it, allright, but no where near to what could be achieved on After Effects. And I was working with After Effects with Premiere back then.

As for Livetype, if you read carefully, I stated Livetype was a big improvement for FCP. Motion certainly is too, but, seriously, they are no After Effects. And you do have After Effects for Mac. So nowadays, everything works well in both platforms. That's what I said.

Back then, in the early days, Premiere 5 just worked a lot better for me with a dv500 than the g3 with FCP. No comparison whatsoever.

I suggest to you further reading of posts you criticize in order to avoid unnecessary unpleasant comments.

People have already found ways to run Mac OSX on regular non mac PC's with good results. It is doable and works like in any other machine.

An OS is an OS,
Apple damn well knows there is going to be Gray market boxes
