Why is only the P2 Slot 1 being read when HVX in device mode

Hi ... there must be an easy solution to this, but every time i try to dump the P2 cards (I have 2 4GB P2 cards) to my powerbook (with HVX in device mode) i only see slot 1 .... in order to dump from slot 2, I have to put the slot 2 card into slot 1 ... this seems ridiculous ... there has to be a way whereby both slots are shown on my powerbook ...

What OS are you running? I have a Mac-Mini with OSX Tiger and 2 removable drives appear on my desktop when I mount the HVX200 via firewire. I know this is not of any help but at least you know it does work.

I've seen this happen while importing into a Power Mac - 2 different machines. I just unmount that one volume, shut off the HVX, power back up, and go through the cycle again, and every time I've been able to get both cards to mount.

I'm not sure exactly when this condition occurs where only 1 card will mount, but that's the solution that's worked for me so far.

Happens to me a lot also. I turn unmount the camera, cycle the power and both come up the second time.

In all honesty I have only mounted my HVX (sounds kind of perverted) on my MAc-mini 2 times and both times it worked. Sounds like one day here real soon I might come across the same issues you are seeing.
