Phil Maker said:I just met an actor by the name of Robert Amico. He say's the problem with HD is that it doesn't capture an actors soul. He told me he's worked with the HVX, and that super 16 is way better for this reason.
Now I've heard a lot of arguments on both sides, but never one quite this abstract and intangible.
I'm a proud HVX owner and I was defending the HVX until he through this at me. I let him win the argument because I didn't know how to respond at this point.
Is it possible that the HVX can't capture an actors soul? (whatever that means)
So, now I'm a "savage"? Not funny...thefilmaddict said:Many primitive "savages" fear that if you take a 35mm still photo of them
Capt Quirk said:Short and simple answer- No. Actors have no soul, as they sold it long ago.
I'd suggest storing on DVD. The newest version of Toast Titanium will do backups that span over multiple DVDs now. I'd back all those Soul-Data files up, and if your drive crashes, build a small fire in your backyard ASAP and throw all the backup disks into it. That should take care of things. :evil:jshaw300 said:I believe that I have captured an actors soul with the HVX, but I'm in a dilemma with regards to long term storage. Would you suggest storing souls on a hard-drive, or on Blu-ray...
