Rush - What's the latest on your DVD course? I saw the site showing an "end of April" release.

If you need any QC, I'm here for ya'! :)

UPDATE:: DVD COURSE IS NOW OUT!

Creator of the DigitalCinemaCourse with 12 hours of content, 6 hours dedicated entirely to Interior Lighting with HMI/Tungsten fresnels and Fluorescents. DVXusers get a Free 2-hour Special Situations Lighting DVD set valued at $99. :) That runs it up to 8 hours of lighting practice.

BUMP.

Jeez, I wish Rush would stop farting around at NAB and answer my question. It's not like he has anything important to do.

Unfiltered, thanks for starting this thread. Sorry guys. :) These dang casinos got me good with their buffets. I can't move. Naah I wish I had time for that... Y'all know what I've been up to. I promise I'll get that pre-order window by the end of this weekend. I'll be doing Paypal $299 with tax and shipping included until May 15 and I'm only going to take 100 pre-orders. After May 15 it is $329+shipping+tax. All pre-orders guaranteed to ship by May 30 and in your hands by June 6. I wanted to finish it earlier but with two more HD bootcamps and 6 days of paid gigs already on the docket for May it just ain't gonna happen. And, this awesome Panasonic NAB gig came out of nowhere. Also, I want to make sure that the quality of the packaging, manual and DVD duplication is 100% before the first copy goes out. I'm also working on a cool DVXuser bonus, TBA.

Cool deal! You're still doing better than those Focus guys: you actually put a real delivery date. ;)

And my offer for QCing still stands. ;)

At NAB2006, was Rush at the Panasonic booth doing the HVX200 "color workflow" workshop demos?

Yes I was, and I will also be doing a blend of that with some other spices for the HD Bootcamp in Vegas and NYC. I had people asking me to put that presentation on DVD, but whoever attends the HD Bootcamp gets it free :) Come see the coolest bootcamp ever now in NYC!

The pre-order site is almost up!!!! Gimme just a few minutes.

Pretty cool, considering the product is still in the making. :) I already got 10 orders in 5 days, which is fantastic.

Hey unfiltered, and everyone else interested, sorry I have to retract the original DVXuser gift. It's not going to quite work out, and it seems to not be going in the right direction of the course. I had always intended to make this course format-agnostic, and not offer specific technical info about any particular camera. So I will come up with another idea. Sorry guys, this particular gift didn't work out.

Rush,
What are the run times of the DVDs? I understand that you haven't completed the project, so can you give estimated run times?

The DVD's are being fine tuned but they are all assembled, and runtime average per is 60+ minutes. That's about the most I could squeeze in and keep the mbps quality up on the DVD. I think most people would probably go through each DVD twice to get the full effect of the content, and apply the info then move on to the next DVD. You can choose to take the tests in between, and follow along with the manual. Also the seventh now Bonus DVD will run up the total to minimum 7 hours.:)

I posted about review request on the cafe ala dvx but I guess if it rush who made it, it will be good, let preorder !!!
