New Updated Guidelines Must Be Read Before Posting In Marketplace Revised 3-17-17

From the DVXuser.com Forum Guidelines:
The Marketplace
The Marketplace forum is intended for individual member to member sales, and not those who are trying to run a business.
Members may sell their items directly, or via ebay (by adding an ebay link to their Marketplace post).
As always, DVXuser takes no responsibility for what goes on in the marketplace. It is a buyer/seller beware zone, and it is up to you to look after each other and to do your research. Safe buying and selling are solely the responsibility of the buyer and seller.Feel free to contact a mod if you want us to check into a buyer or seller on the site, and we will do what we can. But at the end of the day it's 'Buyer Beware.'

NEW RULES IN EFFECT MARCH 16, 2017.

WE DO NOT GIVE WARNINGS. THESE RULES MUST BE READ BEFORE POSTING. WE DO NOT GIVE WARNINGS.

These Guidelines Govern Marketplace Use:
  1. Fraud. If you suspect fraud, report the thread or post using the 'report post' icon.
  2. No Comments. NEW Do not comment on item pricing, the seller, buyer or post off topic comments. Exchanges unrelated to interest in buying the item will be deleted.
  3. Use PM or eMail. Communicate all offers, terms, buyer-specific responses, or shipping questions using personal message or e mail, and not in the body of the thread.
  4. No Bumps. NEW Bumps are strictly limited to once per seven (7) days. This means that if there has been NO ACTIVITY or posts in your thread for seven (7) days, then one bump is permitted. Exceptions: If there is a substantial change in price or description, you may update your thread as often as needed. "Substantial" is defined as the percentage of the change in price, not the dollar amount. Anything less than 5% is suspect. NOTE: Changes in shipping charges CANNOT be used to bump a post. If you are answering a post from another user in your thread about buying the item, you may do so without restriction. If you are seen to be trying to skirt the bumping rule, your access to the DVXUSER Marketplace may be suspended or revoked without warning..
  5. Opening Price. All items listed for sale in the Marketplace must have an opening price provided in the listing, including eBay listings.
  6. eBay. NEW If a link to an eBay sale is provided, the thread will remain viewable, but closed, and no updates are permitted. All sales threads with an eBay link must include a price, or they will be deleted. Excessive outgoing links to eBay may be viewed as commercial in nature. As a result, you may be removed from the marketplace. Only official site sponsors are allowed to post commercial listings
  7. Photos. NEW Limit photos in a sales listing thread to five (5) or less. No exceptions. Violation of this rule will result in a deleted thread without warning.
  8. Commercial Sales. No business, storefront, or commercial sales are permitted in the Marketplace unless the seller becomes a DVXUSER sponsor.
  9. One Thread Only. Only one thread per item, whether it sells or not.
  10. 60 Days Rule. You must be a registered member of DVXuser.com for at least sixty (60) days before you will be able to create threads or offer items for sale in the Marketplace.
  11. Package/Bundle Sales. NEW Bundles mean Bundles. Bundled threads are currently the primary hassle and time-suck for marketplace moderation. Short of prohibiting bundled threads, we ask that you do not post a bundle unless you are *only* willing to sell it as a bundle. From our side, this is a primary method of skirting bumping rules, commercial activity, etc, etc. There are no exceptions on this. We leave the option open for those who truly want to sell their gear *only* as a bundle. If you post "willing to split", your thread may be closed/deleted. If a buyer asks "will you split the package?", their post will be deleted without warning. If you make a habit of infringing on this, you may lose marketplace privileges and/or be suspended from the site as a whole. If you originally post multiple items as a bundle and later decide to break it up, you must *first* close the bundle thread, *then* re-post the items individually. Again, only one bundle per sales thread. If you post a bundle for sale, but indicate you are willing to consider breaking up the bundle, the thread WILL BE DELETED.
  12. Open Sales Threads-Only One Item or Bundle Per Sales Thread. NEW No more than five open sales threads are permitted at one time, and only one item or bundle for sale is permitted per sales thread. Absolutely no liquidation, clean out, or close out sales permitted. Sales threads in excess of five will be deleted.

Remember, it's your responsibility to read, understand, and comply with these Guidelines. We do not provide warnings.

You can now "Mark thread as sold" on your own listings. We encourage you to make use of this feature. You will find it in "thread tools" in the toolbar at the top of your thread. If your listing has sold, you can help us all keep this place a bit more tidy, by going and ticking that box. It will change the prefix to say "SOLD", as well as auto-close the thread for everyone's benefit.

Please note a change to Marketplace use rules.

All new registrations to DVXuser.com will have a 60 day waiting period before they are allowed to create new *threads* in the marketplace sections.

This means, if you have been a member for less than 60 days (beginning with registrations from today, forward) you are not allowed to sell items in the marketplace. You *can* still buy and post in existing threads, but you cannot start a thread or post items for sale until you have been a member for at least 60 days.

New protocol for all new registrations (as it pertains to the marketplace).

Register.
Wait for manual approval.
Gain partial permissions.
Make a post on the forum.
Gain full permissions (minus the ability to start threads in the marketplace sub-forums).
and/or wait 60 days.
Gain full permissions (plus the ability to start marketplace threads/act as a seller on DVXuser).

While it is not generally recommended that folks engage in transactions with unknown members in the marketplace, there seem to be persistent issues with members getting allegedly burned by sellers who have only been members for a short time. This is the primary reason that this restriction was put in place. A secondary reason is because the marketplace is intended as a resource to help our members. Our priority is not really with people who register here simply to use the marketplace.

That said, I would like to remind you that the marketplace remains a buyer/seller beware environment, and DVXuser.com will assume no responsibility for the transactions that take place within. You use it at your own risk. Please look out for each other. Please alert a moderator if you think there is a potential issue. Please use the feedback system that is in place in the marketplace that allows you to rate buyers/sellers, as well as search for a buyer/seller for specific products/gear.

Thanks for your time.

We have new and updated guidelines that now govern participation in the Marketplace.

Please completely familiarize yourself with these rules before posting.

Remember that the Marketplace is intended for occasional sales of personal equipment.

It is not dvxuser.com's equivalent of craigslist or eBay.
