This is a short piece with two different color grades using the GH2 and the Driftwood Dark Matter Hack. Loving the detail and the gradability of the driftwood settings.

THE LAST SHOT IS JUST A SHOT OF THE MOON with 300mm 2.8 and Tele extended. Detail is amazing...
Lenses used:
Lumix/Leica 25mm 1.4
Tokina 11-16mm
Canon 300mm L 2.8
Enjoy!

The moon shot was 1080p 24h. etc mode.

So the 300mm lens became a 600mm focal distance, plus if you think in terms of full frame, it was close to a 1200mm lens.. I really want to get a shot of the sun that I saw in THX-1138 at the end.

If you dont know the shot here it is:
I may have to find a wide open space on a nice day when the sun looks orange close to the horizon.

Where was your moon shot taken? Did you use a mask round the edge to get rid of the heat waves before the one with all the stars?

Here's a sample I get with a 600mm and my T3i between 1x and 3x crop zoom. It's shot out over a city of 2 million and the heat waves are massive. I need to go out on the desert on a cold winters night to try one of these properly.

Currious how the extra resolution of the GH2 and the hacks might compare with that monster lens of mine?

Cheers,
Pete

Moon shot was taken in eastern PA .. about 10pm on a colder night. there is a slight haze on the edge if you look close enough mimicking your haze/heat on the edge. The GH2 is better for wide shots and detail for sure. some people swear by canon but Ive also had panasonic cameras. hvx200, hpx170, hpx with redrock, and then af100 and now gh2. and couldnt be happier, gh2 has best image quality of any of them, a few trade offs being a dslr but i love the image quality so i make due.
