Went to see Donnie Darko - Dir. Cut

I went to the local theater here to take a break from the whole multiplex experience and found it playing, I never heard of the movie before and out of the five playing it sounded like the best choice.
Well now my brain is warped, maybe when the end of the world comes it will be better.
Anyone seen it? What did you think?

I haven't seen the director's cut yet (though I want to) but the original is a great movie.

ditto, I thought it was an excellent film.

It's one of my favorites, although I haven't seen the director's cut. The Mad World montage is classic. "I'm starting to doubt your commitment to sparkle motion." It's playing here in Portland too...will have to see it on the big screen for the first time.

GEEZ! That lady kills me! I went to catholic school, and there was a nun there that was JUST like her.

The original is a classic. In my top 100 films that I've ever seen. I love movies that feel original instead of the usual cookie cutter pattern that so many films follow. Donny Darko is a great "head-f*ck". Reminds me of the fun that I had when I first saw Momento.

let me ask u guys a question, How many ppl have seen the movie and NOT listened to the commentary track? The original i mean, not the DC

I think I watched a little bit of commentary but not the whole thing. I hear in the DC that the ECHO song is in the end? ???
