Small Hidden Camera for Undercover Work?

[stabsteer]

I know this forum is mainly for DVX & HVX users, of which I am.

A very cool friend of mine does undercover work for Animal Rights Organizations and is looking for a tiny, user-friendly, and good quality camera.

Does anyone know of any gear, use any cameras they like, or hear of anything that is good? User-friendly and NLE-friendly are important in the decision as well.

Any links or info that I could pass along or any is much appreciated!

Thanks so much and Happy Holidays to all.

Frank

A pinhole to a mini dv camera would be easiest. You can find them both just about anywhere. I've used SmartHome extensively.

If you're just looking for a hidden compact camera not pinhole, try the Samsung media camera with the detachable head that you can attach to a backpack or briefcase:

Awesome!

Hopefully you take time now and again to work on the human animals rights as well! ;-)

Good luck with your camera search.

Be sure to let us know what ends up working the best.

This cam here is REALLY small, but has really good resolution.
It's a "super-small (1"x 3/4"x 7/8"), 3 Lux wireless camera and receiver and delivers sharp, full-motion video images at 380 lines of resolution.
It's the smallest I've come across yet that also has sound.
