I watched Darren Aronofsky's Requim for a dream for the second time last night...I gotta say I love that film. So Beautiful. After having my soul dragged through the gutter and left there of that film you trully realise the power of film.
Hmm....think i might watch Pi tonight.

Has he done anything else(films/shorts/commercials)?

Re: :Requim for a dream:

aronofsky produced a movie called Below that came out last year. he was directing a sci fi move a couple years back but brad pitt pulled out of the main roll and the movie went down. too bad, the movie should have been really amazing. i hear its starting back up with a smaller budget, cant wait, hope they make it the whole way through this time. should be amazing.

skankib, which verion of the film are you watching? there are 2, the version that was released and the version that blockbuster hacked up to rent at its store. make sure its the unedited version u have.

It is a very wonderful film. I love watching people's faces when I show it to them. It's amazing what kind of journies films can take you on. He did another one named Pi, which is also amazing. Check it out.

Re: :Requim for a dream:

Yeah, after I saw Requiem the other night I read a bit about Pi on the Internet. I was thinking about buying the Requiem for a Dream/Pi two-pack DVD on Amazon. It's only $5 more than just buying Requiem for a Dream. However, I'm not sure if the Requiem disc is just the movie or if it contains the commentary and other special features on the other DVD.

His next movie is "the fountain"

it Sounds trippy. its about the fountain of youth and people living for centuries. It ws supposed to have Brad Pitt in it. But he pulled out. Now it is Mr. Wolverine, Hugh Jackman.
