Redrock 35MM Adapter with Flip Help

Hey guys,

So I just purchased a Redrock 35MM adapter for my Panasonic HVX200. However, I realized the Flip adapter has the 55mm thread on it, as oppose to the 72mm thread shown on the Redrock website. Would this be a problem if I get a ring that connects the flip to my 72mm Acromat? ( As in losing quality ), or would it be fine? Thanks.

It will be fine. You will zoom past any visible part of the ring, since the ring only affects how the achromat is being held and not any optics you have nothing to worry about.

it should be 72mm on one side (attaches to achromat and hvx) and 55 on the other side, which attaches to the redrock.

The first version of the Flip unit was 55mm on both sides I believe. Once they released the Encore they also released the microX Flip unit which had far larger optics, with a 72mm side.

Do you know if this affects the HD quality in any way?
