Just got back from the Bluegrass film festival. Bad news: we didn't win anything with our film, "Beneath the Mask . Good news: We were among some great films and filmmakers. One of the films was an film called "Our Very Own ", written, directed, and produced by a guy named Cameron Watson. He's been acting for about 20 years, but this is his first film.
It premiered at LA Film Festval and will make the festival rounds, but I can't imagine that it won't get a good distribution deal. If you have a chance to catch it, please do. Even though it is a Hollywood film (Alison Janney, Keith Carradine, Cheryl Hines, Jason Ritter) it was filmed in Shelbyville, TN and captures the spirit of small town middle America in a really neat way.
If you've seen this, I'd like to hear your take on it, if not, try to catch it.
