new processors for the Mini setup?

The release of the Merom CPU is not controlled SI. We do know it is coming soon and it is a nice CPU, we have some eval. samples. The current 2.1Ghz Yonah is also an excellent CPU for the Mini SI camera -- we are currently using a Sony Viao with 2.1Ghz Core Duo Yonah to capture from the proto-Mini. If you are waiting for the Merom CPU I'm pretty sure it will be available in time for someone purchasing the SI camera.

Merom Processors

We are developing new software technologies which will require increased cpu power. For those planning on shooting this fall on a mobile platfrom should plan on getting Merom. When the system is not using the extra processing capability it will be operating at a lower power consumption.
