Mailing my showreel to an employer

I'm going to apply for this temporary video making job and will enclose a CD containing my showreel, but I can't decide which would be best,

1. Save my showreel as an actual video file (mov, etc), or

2. Export my showreel as a DVD movie for a DVD playback

I get frustrated just waiting for the DVD player to open these days. I think a vimeo link in an email is much quicker, simpler thing to do (and potential employers are always going to prefer candidates who take up less of their time).

Link is better, but if they're specifically asking for a hard copy then DVD.
