image to 1 second?

I'm trying something different on making a very short film using images. For every 30 seconds of footage I need 720 images to make the character move smoothly like it was shot on video.

I'm working on Vegas Pro 12

Here is the situation; when a image is drop onto my timeline it is at 5 seconds running time. Is there anyway to have it drop on there at 1 second running time? It will help cut my time down some when I cut the image down to a frame.

I did the math once and figured out how long it needed to be to be just one frame and set it to that. Also, you may want to look into importing an image sequence into Vegas

Thanks rs170.

El Director: how do I do an image sequence? Is that another software I need to get or is it built into Vegas?

For a string of still images to be recognized as a motion sequence, they all need to be the same format, named identically except for sequential frame numbers at the end, and placed together in one folder. The frame numbers need to have leading zeros, I.E. frame one would be 0001, frame two 0002, Etc. The folder would be recognized as a clip of whatever length as defined by your project frame rate. I work mostly with JPEG or DPX frame sequences in Lightworks transcoded from DNG raw clips. Premiere I know has similar frame sequence support, but I don't know about Vegas.
