How to Link MPEG-2 to Audio

I'm creating a DVD of my school's musical performance, and have compressed a Full quicktime movie of roughly 120minutes to MPEG-2 and AIFF Audio. I have to use iDVD to author this, and am wondering how I can link the MPEG-2 video with AIFF audio.

Thanks a lot.

I found this on the net, it may help:

I was finally able to test my method for extracting and combining MPEG video and AIFF audio from the project files of iDVD 5, iLife '05's version, this week: Using iDVD as an Encoder for making video DVDs longer than 90 minutes (120 min in iDVD 4 or 5).

I'm happy to report the same success as with iDVD 3 and 4. I snagged a cable TV presentation of Doctor Zhivago with my digitizer and was able to string together the output of two iMovie/iDVD projects that each contained half the length of the movie. iMovie didn't have any trouble with the 40 G .DV file I added to it's project. The only difference as far as I could tell between the added file data and data captured directly into iMovie was that the occupied disk space didn't change when parts of the content were trashed and the trash emptied. Anyway, at 199 minutes that's the longest project I've tried yet.
At the data rate needed to get that much video onto a single layer 4.7G DVD, quality is somewhat compromised, but it's still much better than SVCD, and is nearly indistinguishable from the way the original presentation looked as I watched on my standard TV.
The online tutorial provides a lot of details, but there are basically two tricks needed to make the process work:
First, you have to make iDVD stop its process after the elementary stream files have been completed but before they are converted to VOB data. You do that simply by using the eject button to eject the blank DVD after issuing the burn command. iDVD will do its encoding then hang when it gets to the burning step allowing you to drag the two files out of the project package, then cancel the process (or force quit iDVD if necessary). Second, there are 5 bytes of data at the end of iDVD's output MPEG video file that prevent the corresponding file from the second project from being successfully appended. The online tutorial contains an AppleScript that almost instantly trims those bytes off the file allowing the two halves of the video data to be joined smoothly by any of the open source MPEG joining utilities available for Mac OS X.

Good Luck,

awesome thanks a lot. I actually was able to transport the mp2 and AAC to one of my friend's computers that has DVDSP, and was able to make it there, which worked amazingly. one question i had though, was how to get the advanced button assignments to work on the final DVD: I had only 2 selctions on this DVD, and instead of having some text saying "selection is in white" or something of that nature, i wanted the left selection to go the right one only after pressing right, and not left (like when you go down in the menu of a video of a video game and it goes back to the top. i wish for this to NOT happen.) I assigned the buttons so that in the simulator it worked as I hoped, but after burning the DVD, up, down, left, and right all went to the other selection... argh!!

thanks so much in advance.
