HOLE in the TRACK

When you edit on Vegas sometimes you delete on scene from the track. It sucks so you delete it. But then you have a HOLE in the stream of your movie.

How to connect two halves of the movie? I have this hole and now there is 20 seconds gap in my movie. I dont know how to "drag" one part to the other and kill this hole. Black hole :)

I have all the transitions done on those two halves of my movie and dont know how to "drag" them together without destroying all those transitions - keeping them the way they are.

Cant find it in the manual ???

Thanks for advice,
voytek

Re: HOLE in the TRACK

If you have a hole in the track and you close it - is the hole still there?

If you build a house on top of a large boulder so that the rock is protruding from the floor in your basement, do you have a hole in the floor? Just wondering...

You guys are welcome to ignore this mental digression. Yes, ripple edits are absolutely indispensible.

FUNERAL DIRGE
David Vinton

Solemn strikes the fun'ral chime,
Notes of our departing time;
As we journey here below,
Through a pilgrimage of woe!

Mortals now indulge a tear,
For mortality is near!
See how wide her trophies wave
O'er the slumbers of the grave!

Here another guest we bring--
Seraphs of celestial wing,
To our fun'ral Altar come,
Waft this friend and brother home.

Lord of all! below--above--
Fill our hearts with truth and love;
When dissolves our earthly tie,
Take us to Thy Lodge on high.
