My project is 720 by 480. I have a good inch or so that doesn't show up on the the few TV's I've tested. Reason why I ask is, I want to move the frame left and right a little sometimes when correcting framing. Because I'm letterbox I have plenty of room up and down.

Any one know how much the left and right safety zone is cool to use.On regular tv's have a have a good bit or room, but I'm wondering if it's different for HD tv's.

My final product are going to be 24 frame progressive DVD's that will work great with progressive HD tv's.

Any thoughts? Thanks

Click on the arrow next to the tic-tac-toe pattern button above the preview window and select "safe areas."  This will give you two dotted boxes in the preview window.

The inner box is "title safe."  If you keep your text within that box, it will be (virtually) guaranteed to be visible on any TV.  The outer box is the "action safe" box, which shows you the entire picture which should be visible on (virtually) any TV.

You'll find you have some room to play.
